In response to school’s annual “Teaching Quality Month” activities, according to the unified arrangement and deployment of School of Business Administration, all teachers in the Logistics Management Teaching and Research Department held an “Online&Offline Blended Teaching Seminar” via the Tencent conference system. The seminar was hosted by Guo Hubin, Director of Teaching and Research Department

The topic of this teaching seminar was “Efficient Methods to Improve the quality of Offline&Online Blended Teaching”,the teachers had a lively discussion around this topic, who commonly believed that as a brand-new teaching mode, online&offline blended teaching displayed the absolute advantages of online education and traditional education. On the one hand, in the online mode, teachers could directly present the basic knowledge points in the form of micro-video, giving students sufficient learning time and allowing each student to form a better knowledge base as much as possible, thus fully guarantee the teaching quality. On the other hand, students can consolidate and flexibly apply the basic knowledge learned online through the well-design class activities.

Regarding the issue of improving the quality of online and offline blended teaching, the teachers highlighted three important aspects: The first was to design the blended teaching plan well, organically combine the multiple teaching circles, such as theoretical knowledge lecture, class discussion, example instruction, and cases extension, to ensure that online study can be seamlessly and organically integrated with offline classes and to balance the learning burden of students. The second point laid in the interaction and communication strengthening between teachers and students, teachers’ overall appraisal and learning objectives can be handled out to students, thus those students could preview knowledge points in advance and get learning feedback. The last was the independent exercises, to promote the understanding and application of theoretical knowledge.

This teaching seminar promoted teachers’ experience exchange on online&offline blended teaching, and pushed forward the further improvement of blended teaching effectiveness.
